GOYA Foods DR Site

Atlanta, GA. May 1, 2010

Infinium Technologies announced today that it successfully completed a full Disaster Recovery (DR) Site for Goya Foods. Goya Foods, has over 1,500 product offerings and has over one million square feet of manufacturing and packaging capacity. After implementing a data warehouse solution to address product distribution, Goya realized this critical system needed to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their physical location makes them vulnerable to Flooding, Hurricanes & Winter Snow Storms. A solution was required that would provide this type of availability in the event of a disaster.

Infinium Technologies provided a Solutions Integration team to assist Goya Foods in the implementation of the new DR infrastructure to support the application processing requirements of the business critical systems. The new infrastructure consisted of BladeCenter Servers, VMware, Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, SAN and Network components. The goal of the project was to provide the support infrastructure and define processes and procedures that would allow for the rapid recovery of the production environment in the event of a disaster at the production site.

Infinium Technologies played a key role in helping Goya achieve its business objectives of establishing a viable DR solution to facilitate the continuous operation of critical business systems. Infinium partnered with Goya Foods management and staff to overcome the challenges and manage the successful execution of the DR project.
