Infinium Technologies announced that it successfully completed a full Power 8 migration for Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA), as well as migrated their servers to new data centers. The 10 month project involved migrating over 140 TB of storage and over 500 servers from old legacy hardware to IBM Power 8.

Faced with a technology refresh, MBUSA turned to Infinium Technologies to ensure a seamless transition for the business. Infinium Technologies provided the services and worked with MBUSA business groups to schedule migration activities to included playbooks, runbooks, and acceptance tests. The project came in ahead of schedule and well within budget by providing the key services of designing and implementing the complex virtualized infrastructure needed to support their applications. In less than One (1) month, new IBM servers were architected, installed, and configured to provide the infrastructure for server and data migrations.
